StarWoman's Soul Reflections Tarot Collector's Edition Review

Maralee Fox-Heins has done it again, surpassed all of my very high expectations with her gorgeous beyond compare Soul Reflections Tarot Collector's Edition. I'd been waiting ever so patiently for this deck to be released after learning about it in mid 2004, but after receiving this spectacular creation, it was more than well worth the wait. After blowing me away with the stunning presentation of her Lady Eclipse Tarot in 2003, I didn't think that could ever be topped. But I was mistaken. The Soul Reflections Collector's Edition (SRCE) arrives in a take your breath away custom hand painted tin that is a representation of the owners own soul pattern as Maralee interprets it with her excellent intuitive skills. Mine was so beautiful, tears came to my eyes at the thought of someone who could look right into me and discover the true universe of me and paint it with absolute perfection. I carefully opened the glorious container which qualifies as a work of art all by itself, and my eyes were filled with a black luxurious velvet lining adorned with shimmering celestial designs. It was like I had opened up a star-filled sky at night even though it was really daytime. Then I noticed the inside of the lid. It was lined in black velvet but right in the center was a circular mirror about the size of a compact. Around it, hand painted in gold glitter paint, were rays extending outward that made the mirror look like a sun. I call it the midnight sun. I saw my reflection in this midnight sun mirror and now completely understood the whole concept behind the Soul Reflections name as I'd never understood it before. Instead of using a bag, Maralee had wrapped the cards in a large piece of silk velvet with a meticulously beaded and fringed edge. The back is also velvet. This luxurious cloth doubles as a spread cloth to lay the cards out on. As I unfolded, I saw my name, Soul Reflections Collector's Edition and the deck number were all hand painted on the velvet. Right between the deck number and my name was a hand sewn crystalline star. Wrapped up with these incredible cards was a lovely small booklet outlining several spreads created by Maralee especially for using with the SRCE. My name and deck number were even embossed on the greeting card like front! This truly is a personalized gift presentation like no other. My hands trembled with excitement as I looked at the cards and they are all breathtaking! The images on each card had called to me long before I ordered the deck but actually having them in my hands is indescribably delicious. It's like they've come home to me after not seeing them for such a long time. The colors are so vivid and lush. The SRCE felt so good in my hands I still get absolutely ecstatic just talking about it! This deck is the most meaningful full size Tarot deck I've ever owned. It is the crown jewel in my collection and rightly so. It's almost impossible to find such a moving deck that completely captivates you mind, body and soul that is done so flawlessly both in presentation and in substance. I found three wonderful surprises in the container too but I'm not certain if every one received or will receive the same three gifts so I won't say what they are. I also don't want to spoil the surprise for anyone who hasn't received their SRCE masterpiece yet. Just like Maralee's magnificent Lady Eclipse Tarot, the unforgettable Soul Reflections Collector's Edition sold out the very same day it went on sale. I honestly believe you won't see this deck for sale anywhere in the future because it is the kind of treasured family heirloom that will be kept in the family and passed down through the generations as a most prized keepsake. That's what I'm doing with mine and it's what many others I've spoken to who I know possess this work of art are or will be doing with theirs too. Still, you can always hold out hope you'll eventually find one for sale somewhere but somehow, I don't think it will be very likely. I think the odds of talking Maralee into making a mass produced version of the Soul Reflections Tarot is far more likely to happen.

UPDATE: The mass produced verision of the Soul Reflections Tarot is going to happen because this deck has been picked up by a publisher but some of the cards were redesigned to make it different from the collector's edition.
